Abstract Funding Acknowledgements Type of funding sources: None. Background Exercise stress echocardiography (EE) is useful for diagnosis and risk stratification in patients (pts) with suspected coronary artery disease (CAD). Pts known CAD carry a high events. Our aim was to assess the utility EE predicting outcomes this population. Methods Single center retrospective study consecutive pts who performed an between 2018 2019. The primary endpoint composite admission acute syndrome (ACS), revascularization cardiovascular death during follow-up. Results A total 76 were included (mean age 59±9 years; 87% male). Fifty-nine (78%) had history ACS, 51 (67%) percutaneous intervention (PCI) 14 (18%) bypass graft. majority 2 or more vessel (42 pts; 55%). main reason performing new onset chest pain (38 50%) followed by functional assessment stenoses after incomplete (29 38%). preserved left ventricular ejection fraction (67; 88%). exam under beta-blocker effect 35 (46%) pts. results positive myocardial ischemia 7 (9%) pts, negative 37 (49%) inconclusive 32 (42%) Mean exercise time 8±3 minutes mean METs achieved 9.4±2.6. The prognostic value of stress/rest gated myocardial perfusion SPECT in patients with known or suspected coronary artery disease
Introduction:Gated myocardial perfusion SPECT has diagnostic and prognostic values in coronary artery disease (CAD). We tried to determine prognostic values of the left ventricular perfusion & functional indices as well as transient left ventricular dilation (TID) derived from gated myocardial perfusion SPECT. Methods: 1820patients who underwent gated myo...
متن کاملPrognostic value of peak and post-exercise treadmill exercise echocardiography in patients with known or suspected coronary artery disease.
AIMS Although peak may have higher sensitivity than post-treadmill exercise echocardiography (EE) for the detection of coronary artery disease (CAD), its prognostic value remains unknown. We sought to assess the relative values of peak and post-EE for predicting outcome in patients with known/suspected CAD. METHODS AND RESULTS We studied 2947 patients who underwent EE. Wall motion score index...
متن کاملPrognostic value of pharmacological stress echocardiography in diabetic and nondiabetic patients with known or suspected coronary artery disease.
OBJECTIVES We sought to compare the prognostic value of pharmacological stress echocardiography (SE) in diabetic and nondiabetic patients with known or suspected coronary artery disease. BACKGROUND Although SE is a useful tool for risk stratification of patients with diabetes, it has not been established whether it retains the same prognostic information in diabetic patients compared with non...
متن کاملPrognostic value of stress echocardiography in women with high (>80%) probability of coronary artery disease
Objective—To assess the prognostic significance of stress echocardiography in women with a high probability of coronary artery disease (CAD). Setting—Secondary and tertiary cardiology unit at a university teaching hospital. Participants—A total of 135 women (mean (SD) age 63 (9) years) with pre-test probability of CAD >80% were selected from a database of patients investigated by treadmill or d...
متن کاملPrognostic value of pharmacological stress echocardiography in women with chest pain and unknown coronary artery disease.
OBJECTIVES In this study we sought to investigate the prognostic value of pharmacological stress echocardiography in women referred for chest pain, having unknown coronary artery disease. BACKGROUND The noninvasive identification of a high-risk subgroup among women with chest pain and unknown coronary artery disease is an unresolved task to date. METHODS A total of 456 women (mean [+/-SD] a...
